ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit has a new rule suggestion for the sport he loves.
The longtime ESPN college football analyst revealed his “suggestion” during the sport’s first full opening weekend.
“Can we make a new rule??? If you’re down by 30 and happen to create a TO can we shelf whatever your TO “routine” is…Just thankful and move on…just a thought,” he tweeted.
Fans often get annoyed by the celebrations of players in the middle of a blowout loss. Herbstreit is far from the only person to make this suggestion.

While many seem to agree with him – his suggestion has been liked more than 7,000 times – there are some who disagree.
“Save ya thoughts Kirk… not every thought is a good one.. what if it was the kids 1st play of the game, does your “rule” apply,” one fan asked.
“Or just let kids have fun in a game they are losing by 30,” another fan wrote.
“He’s a kid. Stop this,” one added.
Many agree, though. Herbstreit’s comment came during the second half of the Alabama vs. Miami game. The Crimson Tide won in a blowout.
“The whole program needs a culture change. I’m with you Herby, college football is better when Miami is competitive but this isn’t it. Where do you suggest this program goes from here?” one fan asked.
It’s unclear where Miami will go from here. Few teams – if any – can compete with Alabama in Week 1, though.
