Lincoln Riley and Oklahoma football is setting the recruiting world on fire this month and the rest of college football is starting to take notice.
The Sooners, known for their offensive dominance, have a total of six commits in the 2023 class – all of them are offensive players. Their red-hot recruiting efforts began in July with commitments from four-star running back Treyaun Webb and five-star quarterback Malachi Nelson. Believe it or not, the month of August has been even more impressive.
Oklahoma has picked up commitments from five-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss, five-star athlete Makai Lemon, four-star tight end Luka Hasz and Joshua Bates who’s currently unranked, but should earn a rating at some point this fall season. The Sooners currently have the No. 1 ranked class in the 2023 cycle, as a result.
College football fans and analysts are taking notice of Oklahoma football’s recruiting this summer. Let’s just say they’re impressed.

Even Ohio State reporter Dan Hope complimented the Sooners for their terrific recruiting success.
“Top-ranked 2023 receiver Brandon Inniss, who stood out as much as anyone during Ohio State’s June camps, commits to Oklahoma,” Hope said on Twitter. “Sooners are off to a roaring start in the 2023 class with commitments from five offensive skill position players ranked in the top 53 overall nationally.”
Take a look at how others are reacting to Oklahoma’s recruiting in the 2023 cycle.
What is Oklahoma doing to get all these 5 star players in the 2023 class?

Just for context, Oklahoma has almost doubled the amount of points that the 2nd ranked bulldogs have for the 2023 class. That’s absurd and “Bama like” in terms of recruiting. Long ways to go but the Sooners have a massive lead in the recruiting war going into the SEC. pic.twitter.com/LVt9klnXjC

There it is. Sooners gain another big time 5 Star WR for 2023. Oklahoma is loading up for that class to be the best that has ever been assembled in Norman. pic.twitter.com/HdqncW1ZqQ

Oklahoma already had the commitment of 2023 5-star QB Malachi Nelson and now the Sooners have also secured 5-star WR Brandon Inniss. Oklahoma is turning into a bigger recruiting powerhouse year after year. Lincoln Riley turned the program around big time. https://t.co/RnGbUWDXrn

5-Star WR Brandon Inniss (No. 1 WR)
5-Star ATH Makai Lemon (No. 4 ATH)

The Sooners should have no issue playing with the big boys in the SEC if they keep this up.
