Dabo Swinney drew a lot of criticism for his top 25 ranking of Ohio State heading into the College Football Playoff last year.
Clemson’s head coach had the Buckeyes ranked No. 11 in the country heading into their College Football Playoff matchup.
“I would say I’m glad he’s not (on the CFP committee.) They were very graceful to my friends and I,” Ryan Day said, per 247Sports. “Being a young coach and Nina being a wife of the head coach at Ohio State… there are only a few people that can share the same experiences. They have been unbelievable in terms of giving advice. We are in a incredibly competitive environment. At the end of the day, we’re all human. Appreciated the way he gave great council and he’s been a great pro.”
While Swinney’s 2020 Ohio State ranking went viral, his 2021 Georgia ranking will not.
Swinney admitted on Sunday that he has Georgia as a top-two team in the country right now. Alabama, in all likelihood, is the other team.
Dabo says Georgia is “definitely a top 2 best team in the country.”
