ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski Reveals Ben Simmons’ Playoff Plan

April 22, 2022 by The Spun Leave a Comment

Ben Simmons looks on for the Nets.

Ben Simmons hasn’t played a single game this NBA season, but all signs point to him suiting up for the Brooklyn Nets in Game 4 against the Boston Celtics.

According to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the current plan for Simmons is to play in Game 4. The All-Star point guard just needs to make sure he doesn’t suffer a setback.

Simmons has been dealing with a back injury for the majority of this season. When asked abut his status earlier this week, he said he’s day-to-day.

The Nets currently trail 2-0 in their series with the Celtics. It’s possible that Simmons’ return to the court could give Steve Nash’s squad the boost it desperately needs.

Barring a setback, Brooklyn’s Ben Simmons plans to play in Game 4 on Monday vs. the Boston Celtics, sources tell ESPN.

There’ll be a lot of pressure on Simmons if he makes his debut for the Nets in Game 4, but he sounds up for the challenge.

“It’s a good challenge. But now I’m looking forward to it – especially playing with these guys,” Simmons told reporters. “I think for me, my IQ’s so high to, you know, play the guys like Kai [Kyrie Irving] and Seth [Curry] and Kev [Kevin Durant]. Just watched them. I know how they play. I know how they want to play.”

Simmons may not receive a full workload in Game 4, but he can still make an impact in limited minutes.

The Nets will have an update on Simmons’ status later this week.
