With the NFL season just about to begin, ESPN’s Mike Greenberg has just revealed the league’s “best kept secret.” Let’s just say he’s very confident in the Washington Football Team this year.
During this Friday’s edition of Get Up, Greenberg expressed his faith in Washington. He also questioned the team’s current bettings odds in the process.
“The NFL gets so much attention all year round that it’s hard to imagine it could ever have a secret as well kept as the Washington Football Team is heading into this year,” Greenberg said. “Caesars has them at 25-1 to win the NFC. Even Vegas doesn’t see this coming, and it is. The formula is there and it’s proven. They are the 49ers of two years ago.”
While a lot of the credit in the nation’s capital goes to the defensive line, Greenberg believes Washington’s quarterback deserves recognition as well.
“Start with the quarterback who has been far more magic than tragic of late,” Greenberg said. “These are the numbers: The last three seasons, Ryan Fitzpatrick has a higher completion percentage than Tom Brady, a higher touchdown percentage than Dak Prescott, and a higher QBR than Deshaun Watson. He’s been very good.”
In a league like the NFL, it’s hard to imagine it could have a secret like the Washington Football Team.
With a good QB, a dominant DL and winning coach, don’t be surprised if they end up in the Super Bowl. @Espngreeny pic.twitter.com/u074oDhXoC

Mike Greenberg also pointed out that Washington has a dominant wide receiver in Terry McLaurin, emerging star at running back in Antonio Gibson, and a proven winner at head coach in Ron Rivera.
The Washington Football Team will start the regular season at home against the Los Angeles Chargers.
