College football is officially – finally – back. So, too, are college football crowds.
The pageantry, arguably the best aspect of the sport, wasn’t really a part of the 2020 season. Campuses weren’t lively on game days and stadiums were not close to full for most of the country.
That is now changed.
There were packed stadiums across the country over the sport’s opening weekend. Fans across the sport couldn’t be happier to see sights like this.

College football just isn’t the same without big crowds. Hopefully we’ll be able to see stadiums packed throughout the fall.
“It’s amazing the difference crowds and bands make for college football,” Brandon Walker tweeted. “I’m not referring to home field advantage. I’m talking about how much more watchable the games are with crowds back.”
The TV ratings certainly back that up. Week 1 ratings were up big this year.
