Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers‘ Wednesday press conference turned into a massive airing of grievances for the reigning league MVP.
Rodgers filled reporters in on why he engaged in a three-month stalemate with the organization. The 37-year-old signal caller has been frustrated at his lack of involvement in key personnel decisions, among other issues with the team.
Rodgers did not hold back, blistering the Packers’ leadership during the session. At least one former teammates was listening–and seemed to be nodding his head.
Buffalo Bills defensive back Micah Hyde, who played with Rodgers in Green Bay from 2013-16, was one of the ex-Packers that Rodgers made reference to yeserday.
Hyde said on Thursday that he was not surprised to hear what Rodgers had to say. The former fifth-round pick said the star QB let him know he was frustrated several years ago when Hyde left the team.
Micah Hyde on Aaron Rodgers presser: To hear him say something like that…I remember after leaving that place he reached out to me and let me know how frustrated he was…I thought his press conference was well thought out…hearing him say my name was a blessing #Bills

For now, everything is somewhat settled between Rodgers and the Packers, at least enough to get the perennial Pro Bowler back on the field this season.
We’ll see how the year unfolds though, as well as what next offseason has to offer.
