On Thursday night, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott played like a superstar against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night.
Unfortunately, star running back Ezekiel Elliott didn’t have as much success – at least in the box score. Elliott had just four carries in the first half as the Cowboys seemed happy to live through the air.
After failing to use Elliott effectively, the Cowboys received plenty of flak on social media. Unfortunately, some of the negative comments were directed at Ezekiel’s mother, Dawn.
Rather than just sit there and take the unwarranted criticism though, she fired back on social media. While there is one unsavory message we won’t include here, there was another strong message she had.
“I honestly cannot wrap my head around grown folks worried about what the next person makes. Overly concerned with the next person’s wages,” she said.

Ezekiel Elliott’s mother has no say in how the Cowboys use her son on the field. There’s absolutely no reason she should be receiving hate messages from fans for her son’s performance.
She has no control over what the team does, so why send her awful messages? Of course, this is what we’ve come to expect from those on social media unfortunately.
Hopefully fans take a more positive approach when the Cowboys face off against the Los Angeles Chargers next weekend.
