Quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges was released by the Los Angeles Rams last month, but is still trying to catch on with an NFL team.
Hodges worked out for the New York Giants today, per the league transaction wire. The Giants are still looking to add a quarterback to their practice squad, as the team only has started Daniel Jones and backup Mike Glennon currently on its roster.
New York released former Michigan State signal caller Brian Lewerke, who saw time in preseason, earlier this week.

Hodges went undrafted out of Samford in 2019, but managed to stick with the Pittsburgh Steelers. When Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph both went down with injuries, Hodges had the opportunity to step in.
In eight games (six starts), he completed 62.5% of his passes for 1,063 yards, five touchdowns and eight interceptions. The Steelers went 3-3 in games Hodges started.
Hodges spent all of last season on Pittsburgh’s practice squad and became a free agent after the year.
