LeBron Reacts To His Entertainment Company Investment News

October 14, 2021 by The Spun

LeBron James speaks at the NBA All-Star Game.

LeBron James’ entertainment and production company, the Springhill Company, received several new major investors on Thursday.

Springhill Company, ran by LeBron and Maverick Carter, has played a major role in productions like Space Jam: A New Legacy and HBO’s The Shop: Uninterrupted. It’ll likely be involved in plenty of new projects in coming years, thanks to a few new key investors.

LeBron’s entertainment and production company has brought on several new investors, including: Nike, Fenway Sports Group, RedBird Capital Partners and EPIC Games. Springhill Company is now valued at $725 million. Yes, you read that right.

LeBron took to Twitter to celebrate Thursday’s massive news.

“The diversity and empowerment of our team is what we’re all about!! I love every 141 souls of creators we have in at @TheSpringHillCo! I beyond proud to lead you guys everyday,” LeBron said on Twitter. “Oh by the way @mavcarter you’re simply INCREDIBLE!! A BEAST. CEO 1.”

It looks like LeBron James is winning both on and off the court.

No. 23 turned 6 is gearing up for the 2021-22 season. He’ll be surrounded by an entirely new roster, including the likes of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and many others.

It’s still unclear as to how this new-look, veteran Lakers team will look this upcoming season. Regardless, it should be fun.

LeBron and the Lakers begin the 2021-22 season on Oct. 19 against the Golden State Warriors.
