In just a few hours, the two newest members of the SEC (soon) will face off in the Red River Showdown.
Oklahoma vs. Texas is one of the best rivalries in college football and that will be on full display yet again today. The Sooners have won nine of the last 12 meetings between the two sides.
The GameDay Crew traveled to the Texas State Fair for a huge matchup between the Sooners and Longhorns. Before the game kicks off, ESPN announced Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will be the guest picker today.
Fans immediately pointed out that Cuban doesn’t have any ties to either program. Needless to say, fans were hoping for someone different to be the guest picker this morning.
Here’s some of the reaction from around social media.

Earlier this week, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit suggested this game could be a shootout, with the team who has the ball last getting the win.
“I’m excited to see — going in as we sit here on Friday, I feel like it’s a high-scoring game,” Herbstreit said. “I think both defenses will struggle to stop the other offense.
“I feel like it has the makings of a ‘who has the ball last?’ kind of game. Maybe I’ll be proven completely wrong. But that’s what it feels like based on watching the film.”
Oklahoma and Texas kick off at 12:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
