You’ve got to love it when college football team Twitter accounts get into it, which is what happened with Iowa and Nebraska today.
This back-and-forth actually started last week, when Nebraska football tweeted a graphic featuring a Husker player taking down a Hawkeye superimposed into a massive wave. The caption “Nothing to see here, just a friendly ‘interaction’” was a play on a recent news article saying that shark attacks could be rebranded as “interactions.”
Well, Iowa had to respond, and respond the Hawkeyes official Twitter account did today with a savage takedown featuring the final scores of the last six meetings between the two rivals, all of which were won by Iowa.
“Interesting photo choice because it’s been 2,425 days since your last good ‘interaction’ with us,” the accompanying caption reads.

Well-played, Iowa. It is no secret that the Hawkeyes have dominated their series with Nebraska lately, winning six in a row and seven of the last eight.
The Huskers will have a chance to snap the streak when they host Iowa on November 26.
