Jerry Jones has the weekend off. The Cowboys won’t play on Sunday after beginning their season on Thursday. The Cowboys’ owner, as a result, couldn’t help but take in one of Saturday evening’s biggest college football games.
Jones attended Saturday night’s Arkansas-Texas game in Starkville. The Cowboys’ owner is not only an Arkansas alum. He also has grandsons on both teams.
Jones had to be happy with what he saw from the Razorbacks on Saturday. They got past No. 15 Texas 40-21. Arkansas gashed the Longhorns in the running game with 333 yards and four scores on 47 carries. If the Razorbacks’ rushing attack continues to have success into SEC play, they could shock some people this season.
The Cowboys’ owner must have had a good time at Saturday night’s game.
Jerry Jones has grandsons on both teams but there’s no doubt he’s enjoying every minute of this 33-7 Arkansas lead over No. 15 Texas https://t.co/jy31RbQtqE

Jerry Jones is expecting big things out of the Dallas Cowboys this season.
The Cowboys’ owner wrapped up contract negotiations with quarterback Dak Prescott earlier this year. With those negotiations in the rear-view mirror, the Cowboys can focus solely on winning football games.
As long as Prescott stays healthy, the Cowboys are going to have a special year. He was phenomenal, albeit in a loss, against the Buccaneers last Thursday. Prescott finished with 403 yards passing and three touchdowns.
The Cowboys will look for their first win of the season next Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. Jones, per usual, will be in attendance.
