Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson received an unpleasant surprise tonight when the team traded his best wide receiver during the NFL Draft.
The Ravens sent speedster Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and the 100th overall pick to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for the 23rd overall pick. Needless to say, this was a shocking move.
Brown, a first-round pick in 2019, caught 195 passes in 46 games over three seasons in Baltimore, racking up 2,361 yards and 21 touchdowns. The Oklahoma product was by far Jackson’s most trusted perimeter target.
Judging by his immediate reaction on Twitter, Lamar is quite unhappy with the move.

While Jackson has commented on the trade subliminally, Hollywood came out and made his feelings clearly known.
“Wish I coulda played with my brotha forever but Ima see you at the top,” Brown wrote on Twitter, tagging Jackson in the post.

We’re guessing that the Ravens, who already took Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton at No. 14 overall tonight, might be targeting Brown’s replacement at 23.
That might be a sensible plan, but they are still likely going to have to soothe their franchise quarterback’s feelings after tonight’s transaction.
