Earlier this week, Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer held a team meeting to apologize to his players and fellow coaches “being a distraction.”
A week ago today, a video surfaced of a young woman dancing on him at his bar/restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. Meyer’s actions led plenty to call for him to be fired from his job as the Jaguars head coach.
Jaguars owner Shad Khan had a stern message for Meyer, but stopped short of punishing the first-year head coach. While he’s not gone yet, one media insider is predicting Meyer won’t make it through his full contract.
Richard Deitsch of the Athletic predicted Meyer will be fired before the end of his contract. After that, Deitsch thinks FOX won’t hesitate to bring him back as an analyst.
“One easy prediction: If the Jags part with Urban Meyer (and I predict that will happen before the end of his contract), Fox will not hesitate to bring him back to its college football coverage,” Deitsch said.

If Meyer’s time with the Jaguars comes to an end before his contract runs out, there is a chance he jumps back into the college football game. However, if for some reason he can’t get a job there, moving back into an analyst role could come next.
Of course, Meyer is still the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars right now. There’s been no indication the Jaguars want to get rid of him and he made it clear he doesn’t plan to resign.
