After a stint on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ reserve/COVID-19 list, Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh returned to practice on Monday. And he had an important message for the fans.
Taking to Twitter, Suh declared that he is looking forward to Thursday’s season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. He wants everyone to be as pumped as he is.
“Today is a good day. Thursday will be even better. Let’s go!!” Suh tweeted.
Suh rejoined the Buccaneers on a one-year, $9 million contract this past April. He spent the last two seasons in Tampa Bay, and his 2020 season was one of his best in the past five years.

The former No. 2 overall pick from the 2010 NFL Draft had 6.0 sacks in 2020 – his most since 2015. He finished the year with 44 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 19 QB hits, two passes defended and a forced fumble.
While he didn’t make the Pro Bowl, he was an essential player on the defensive line during the Buccaneers’ postseason run. In four playoff games, Suh had 10 tackles, 1.5 sacks and four QB hits. Those sacks both came in Super Bowl LV.
Suh isn’t exactly the same terror that made five Pro Bowls in his first seven seasons. But at age 34, Suh is still a force to be reckoned with on the defensive line. The Buccaneers can certainly make great use of him as they begin their Super Bowl title defense.
What kind of an impact will Ndamukong Suh have this coming season?
