Ohio State played Michigan State on Saturday, but Buckeyes fans weren’t focused on the Spartans.
No. 4 Ohio State jumped out to a massive 49-0 lead over No. 7 Michigan State on Saturday afternoon. Fans then turned their attention to another team: the Michigan Wolverines.
It’s no secret the Buckeyes hate the Wolverines. They don’t even refer to Michigan by its name, instead calling it the “team up north” or “TUN” for short.
In the midst of Ohio State’s blowout of Michigan State, Buckeyes fans began singing “We don’t give a damn for the whole state of Michigan.” Ouch.

Ohio State owns the entire state of Michigan. The Wolverines can change that next Saturday.
Sure, Ohio State looked like the best team in the country on Saturday. But it’s worth noting Michigan State has the worst pass defense, at least statistically, in all of college football. The Buckeyes took advantage, as a result.
Michigan, meanwhile, is stout against the pass. It has to contain the Ohio State passing attack to have a chance next Saturday.
First, the Wolverines need to focus on getting past Maryland, though. They can’t afford a letdown just a week before their biggest game of the season.
Ohio State, meanwhile, can begin preparations for the “team up north” after stomping Michigan State out of Columbus on Saturday.
