Look: Paige Spiranac Reacts To Crazy Golf Statistic

September 8, 2021 by The Spun

Paige Spiranac on Instagram.

Earlier this week, Golf Magic released a graphic showing the most-followed golfers on social media.

The graphic took a specific look at Instagram and which golfers had the largest audience. Unsurprisingly, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler were among the most-followed athletes in their respective sport.

However, none of the three were at the top. No, that distinction went to former professional golfer and current golf analyst Paige Spiranac.

The social media superstar has over 3.1 million followers on Instagram, over 400,000 more than Tiger Woods. So, what does she attribute that following to?

“Two big reasons why,” she said with a leading and self-aware statement. “My golf knowledge and personality.”

A quick look at Spiranac’s Instagram will show why she’s one of the most-followed athletes in all of sports. For someone who doesn’t play the game any more, Spiranac’s ownership on social media – above the best male golfers in the world – is impressive.

She knows how to engage her audience and does so in each and every one of her posts. Spiranac is also one of the most self-aware former athletes on social media.

She consistently pokes fun both at herself and at her audience. As a result, she has over 3.1 million followers on Instagram and another 462,000 on Twitter.
