Look: Patrick Reed Likes Telling Messages On Twitter

September 10, 2021 by The Spun

Steve Stricker decided to leave Patrick Reed off the U.S. Ryder Cup team, and Reed isn’t happy about it.

Stricker finalized his 12-man United State Ryder Cup team earlier this week. He overpassed Reed for Tony Finau, Harris English, Xander Schauffele, Daniel Berger, Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth. Why no Reed? Well, let’s just say it’s complicated.

Stricker revealed that health was a factor in the decision to leave Ryder off the team. Reed had a recent health scare and had to stay in the hospital.

“Patrick Reed … that was a very, very difficult call,” Stricker said, via ESPN.com. “Kind of lost sleep over that one. He’s a tremendous competitor. He brings a lot of match-play golf. His record at the Ryder Cup is pretty darned good. It was a very difficult call. It was just the uncertainty of his health and really the lack of play that led to our decision down the stretch.”

Stricker cited health as a factor, but many believe Reed’s personality had to do with the decision.

Reed fired back at Stricker via Twitter by liking several tweets which criticized Stricker and his decision.

Take a look.

It’s unclear if Patrick Reed’s personality had anything to do with Stricker’s decision.

Regardless, it’s not a good look by Reed to like so many tweets criticizing Stricker.
