There’s a couple of big-time NFL quarterbacks, past and present, in the crowd at tonight’s pivotal Game 5 between the Utah Jazz and Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavericks are at home tonight, so it’s not a surprise to see Patrick Mahomes and Kyler Murray, two Texas natives, in the stands at the American Airlines Center.
Did we mention the game was in Dallas? Because Cowboys legend Troy Aikman is also in the building.

So far, Murray, Mahomes and Aikman have seen the home team blitz the Jazz in the second quarter. Leading 24-18 after one stanza, the Mavericks dominated the second period to take a 52-36 advantage into intermission.
Dallas lost Game 1 at home, but rebounded to win Games 2 and 3 without star point guard Luka Doncic. Doncic returned in Game 4, but the Mavericks suffered a heartbreaking 100-99 loss on the road to a desperate Utah team.
Back at home tonight, Dallas has looked good through two quarters. We’ll see if they can close it out.
