After missing the 2021 U.S. Open following his car crash, Tiger Woods is set to return to the major tournament this coming June.
On Thursday, the U.S. Open announced that Woods has officially filed an entry to play at The Country Club in Brookline this summer. included in their announcement on Twitter was a five-minute clip of some of Woods’ greatest moments at the U.S. Open.
Tiger Woods has claimed victory at the U.S. Open three times in his storied career. But it’s one of the few events that he hasn’t really returned to the top of amid his recent resurgence.
The last time Tiger finished inside the top 20 was 2010. He’s missed the cut in three of his last four appearances.
But he has still enjoyed some of the greatest moments of his career at the U.S. Open, and the USGA were more than ready to share them with all of us:

Tiger Woods is coming off a thrilling return to golf at the 2022 Masters Tournament. Despite finishing 47th at Augusta, he’s clearly back in the swing of things and ready to take on all of the majors.
Tiger is still chasing that 16th major and his chance to tie Jack Nicklaus for the most majors. But 2022 seems like it’s going to be more about Tiger returning to form than reclaiming his spot on top of the mountain.
Then again, we saw Phil Mickelson shock the world and win the PGA Championship last year. Maybe Tiger will shock us all at The Country Club in June.
What odds do you give Tiger Woods to win the U.S. Open?
