An ugly fight broke out between fans of the same team at FedEx Field on Sunday afternoon.
The Washington Football Team had a bad day at the office on Sunday. They lost their home opener to Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers. Ryan Fitzpatrick went down with an injury and won’t be returning for a while. Oh, and fans were fighting in the stands.
We’re not sure what caused it, but two Washington Football Team fans were throwing absolute haymakers during Sunday’s game. Both men landed significant shots on the other. Another fan eventually stepped in to break up the fight.
Take a look.

Yikes.
For some reason fan fights have been more common than usual this year. It might have something to do with the fact fans didn’t get to attend games during the 2020 season because of the pandemic.
The Washington Football Team, meanwhile, will be without Ryan Fitzpatrick for the foreseeable future. Ron Rivera is moving forward with Taylor Heinicke in the meantime.
Heinicke is not your typical backup. He almost led the Washington Football Team to an upset of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in last year’s playoffs when he threw for 306 yards passing, had 46 yards rushing and scored twice.
Heinicke should be able to manage the offense in Fitzpatrick’s absence. His play will prove critical to the WFT’s aspirations to win the NFC East.
The Washington Football Team will look for its first win of the season this Sunday versus the New York Giants.
