Of all the divisions races within the NFL this upcoming season, the AFC East is shaping up to be one of the most competitive. Mike Greenberg has an idea as to how it will play out.
The AFC East is widely viewed as a three-team race. We can probably eliminated the New York Jets. They have an optimistic outlook, but don’t have the roster to compete with the NFL’s best. So that leaves the Bills, Dolphins and Patriots.
Buffalo is the overwhelming favorite. Josh Allen could just be the best quarterback in the NFL this season and the Bills defense is one of the league’s best. Can either the Patriots or Dolphins give them a challenge? Greenberg thinks so.
Greenberg revealed his AFC East predictions during Monday’s edition of ESPN’s Get Up. He’s rolling with Mac Jones and the Patriots to claim the division’s title by season’s end.

We have a tough time believing Mac Jones can outduel Josh Allen and go out and win the AFC East. But we won’t doubt Bill Belichick.
The Dolphins might also be in the mix. It’ll all depend on the play of Tua Tagovailoa. Until he elevates his play, we have a tough time believing Miami can take out Buffalo and New England in the AFC East.
The Patriots, meanwhile, will turn the offense over to rookie quarterback Mac Jones. Could he be the next great quarterback to play for Belichick? If he is, New England could be a darkhorse Super Bowl contender.
Who do you think will win the AFC East this upcoming season?
