Mike Leach Is Getting Absolutely Destroyed On Saturday Night

September 5, 2021 by The Spun

Mississippi State football head coach Mike Leach.

Year 2 of the Mike Leach era isn’t off to a very good start.

Mississippi State is opening the 2021 regular season against Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs are currently struggling in a major way.

It’s Louisiana Tech 34, Mississippi State 14 a couple of minutes into the fourth quarter. It’s been a very ugly game so far for Leach’s team and there’s not much time left for a comeback.

Unsurprisingly, Mississippi State fans have taken to social media to roast Leach for his team’s performance.

“I have decided to fire Mike Leach. I wish him well in the future,” Brandon Walker tweeted.

Other college football fans have taken to social media to react to the Week 1 performance.

“That Mike Leach luster usually wears off by year 3. Looks like we are ahead of schedule,” one fan tweeted.

“For absolutely no reason at all, I’d like to point out Mike Leach Washington State teams lost non-conference games to Nevada, Rutgers, Portland State and Eastern Washington,” another fan added.

Some are already suggesting that Leach could be fired midway through the season. That probably won’t happen, but things aren’t looking good for the Bulldogs football program.

Missisippi State will take on NC State in Week 2.
