Mike Greenberg is going out on a bit of a limb with his prediction for the true sleeper team in the NFC.
The longtime ESPN host believes the Washington Football Team might be the team to beat in the conference when it’s all said and done.
“Just remember this in January,” he tweeted.
Greenberg added: ““The NFL gets so much attention all year round that it’s hard to imagine it could ever have a secret as well kept as the Washington Football Team is heading into this year.”
In a league like the NFL, it’s hard to imagine it could have a secret like the Washington Football Team.
With a good QB, a dominant DL and winning coach, don’t be surprised if they end up in the Super Bowl. @Espngreeny pic.twitter.com/u074oDhXoC

The Washington Football Team is coming off a solid 2020 season. However, Greenberg is making some leaps with his prediction.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is an OK quarterback. He’s 38 years old and he’s never appeared in a playoff game. Wins aren’t strictly a quarterback stat, but if you’ve never played in a postseason game, it’s fair to question just how “good” you are over the course of a season.
“The Fitzpatrick stats in isolation against individual QBs is a textbook bad use of data Mike. Would you take Brady or Watson over Fitzpatrick 100 times out of 100 or 1000 times out of 1000?” one fan tweeted.
“Greeny…..same Fitzpatrick that broke your heart as a Jet fan. He is a stat compiler. When he’s hot he is hot, when he is bad, he is very bad. He has never won anything. Do you remember how the 2015 season ended?” another fan added.
“What a miserable take. Finagling different stats that he had over QBs who are way better than him to make Fitzpatrick seem like a good QB. Stop it Greeny,” another fan said.
Washington should be solid in 2020. However, they almost certainly won’t be as good as Greenberg is predicting.
