Just last week, the NFL announced when the official schedule for the 2022 season would be announced.
Yes, it was an announcement about an announcement. However, NFL fans have been waiting months to learn who their respective teams would be playing – and when.
Well, during the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday night, the first game of the season – a Week 2 contest – was announced. Kansas City Chiefs legend Tony Gonzalez and Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler walked out onto the stage.
That was a major hint for football fans.
The Chargers and Chiefs will face off in the first ever Thursday Night Football game that will be broadcast on Amazon.

Both the Chiefs and Chargers re-loaded in the offseason and should be two of the most dangerous teams in the league next year.
