For the New York Giants fans hoping to see star running back Saquon Barkley on the field for the first week of the season, tonight’s your night.
On Saturday night, Giants insider Jordan Raanan reported Barkley has been cleared to play against the Denver Broncos. It will be Saquon’s first game back since he suffered a torn ACL in the second week of the 2020 season.
This week in practice, the Giants slowly ramped up Barkley’s workload. In an effort to get him up to speed as quickly as possible, New York gave him everything he could handle.
It didn’t prove to be too much and Barkley will be back out on the field as a result. It’s safe to say fans are excited to see the former Penn State star back on the field.
“Bad news for the Broncos, excellent news for the game. One of the most electric players in the league,” said one fan.

Of course, there are those with Saquon Barkley on their fantasy teams who will be doing a happy dance now that he’s back.

The news is also important for Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. When Barkley is on the field, Jones is a completely different quarterback as the defense keys in on the star running back.
With Saquon on the field, life should be much easier for Jones on Sunday.
