On Tuesday night, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that three-time Pro Bowl running back Le’Veon Bell has a new home.
The longtime Pittsburgh Steelers running back is headed back to the AFC North to play for one of the Steelers rivals: the Baltimore Ravens. The news comes just one day after the Ravens worked out the 29-year-old.
Adding a veteran running back was necessary given the team’s tough injury news over the past few weeks. Both star running back J.K. Dobbins and Justice Hill suffered season-ending injuries.
That left just Gus Edwards and Ty’Son Williams as the only two backs on the roster.
Of course, Bell signing with a new team is always big news. The former star running back went from one of the best in the league to a last-minute addition before the 2021 season kicks off.
Fans all took to Twitter with a variation of the same joke. It will be wild to see Bell play for the Ravens after a long career as Baltimore’s biggest rival.
Here’s some of the reaction from social media.

Bell put up a number of incredible seasons with the Steelers between 2013 and 2017. Of that span, Bell made two All-Pro first teams and two All-Pro second teams.
Just a year later, though, the star tailback decided to hold out during the 2018 campaign. It would be his last in a Steelers jersey before he signed with the New York Jets.
That run didn’t last long, though, before he eventually landed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Now he’s back in the AFC North, where his NFL career began.
