West Virginia guard Sean McNeil announced his transfer to Ohio State on Sunday.
The senior, who averaged 12.2 points in each of his last two seasons with the Mountaineers, announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on Twitter and Instagram.

McNeil drained 143 three-pointers through three seasons at West Virginia. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder from Union, Kentucky, also made 86.1 percent of his free throws.
Per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, McNeil had planned to visit Louisville on Friday. Yet his trip to Ohio State appears to have sealed the deal after previously making stops at Virginia, Cincinnati, and Indiana. The Hoosiers were “pushing hard” to land the transfer, per Keegan Nickoson of Indiana Rivals.
McNeil, who made more threes (57) than anyone on the Buckeyes last season, will provide useful spacing and perimeter shooting to their offense. E.J. Liddell and Malaki Branham, their only players to average double-digit points last season, have already entered their names into this year’s NBA Draft.
