The Oklahoma Sooners remain undefeated heading into Week 5, but Lincoln Riley’s offense is currently going through a rough patch. Over the past two games, they’ve scored a combined 39 points. That’s just not acceptable for this program.
With an important game coming up against Kansas State, an Oklahoma player’s father went on Twitter to express his frustration with the Sooners’ offense.
On Friday, Marvin Mims Sr., the father of Oklahoma wide receiver Marvin Mims, tweeted “Something has to change.” His tweet was in response to an article that said his son hasn’t received many opportunities since Week 1.

Several Oklahoma fans commented on Mims’ post, saying that it’s a team game and that he can’t just worry about his son’s production. That led to a fiery response from Mims.
“I said something has to change,” Mims replied. “I didn’t say something for my son, I didn’t say only throw him the ball. I repeat something has to change. If reading comprehension is a problem for you please stay off my post!”

Mims had a great performance against Tulane in Week 1, hauling in five passes for 117 yards. Since then, he hasn’t had more than 32 receiving yards in a single game.
If the Sooners’ offense is going to get back on the right track, it’ll need to get Mims more involved on offense.
We’ll see if Mims can have a breakout performance against Kansas State this afternoon.
