Randall Cobb isn’t the only veteran player making his way over to Green Bay this week. According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the Packers are expected to sign offensive tackle Dennis Kelly.
Kelly, 31, was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent four years with the franchise before being traded to the Tennessee Titans.
Tennessee initially utilized Kelly as a backup offensive tackle, but he ended up starting all 16 games during the 2020 season.
Green Bay already has a solid duo at offensive tackle in David Bakhtiari and Billy Turner. However, it doesn’t hurt to add a veteran player like Kelly to the depth chart.
Kelly’s deal with the Packers should become official after he passes his physical.

A few NFL fans are wondering if Aaron Rodgers had a hand in this personnel decision for the Packers.
During his press conference today, Rodgers told the media that he would like to have a little more input when it comes to certain decisions.
“This wasn’t a draft day thing,” Rodgers said. “It started with a conversation in February. I just expressed my desire to be involved in conversations directly affecting my job.”
The Packers have all the necessary pieces in place to win a Super Bowl this upcoming season, and the addition of Kelly should only strengthen their argument.
