Frustrations boiled over in the Mets-Cardinals series after St. Louis third baseman Nolan Arenado felt a pitch was a bit too high and tight in the bottom of the eighth. Benches would clear leading to an on-field brawl that saw Mets All-Star Pete Alonso taken to the ground at one point.

The baseball world reacted to the sequence across social media Wednesday afternoon.
