The Baltimore Ravens rushing attack has been one of the best in NFL history to thanks to star quarterback Lamar Jackson and several talented running backs. But after losing J.K. Dobbins for the year during the preseason, they’ve now lost another top rusher.
On Monday, Ravens running back Justice Hill suffered a torn Achilles in practice. His 2021 season is over before it begins.
Hill was in line for considerably more touches this season following the departure of Mark Ingram and the season-ending injury to J.K. Dobbins. With his injury, the team is now working out a number of backs to try and fill the void.
As a rookie in 2019, Hill had 58 carries for 225 yards and two touchdowns. He was the team’s fourth-leading rusher on the NFL’s top rushing attack.
Last year Hill was limited to just 12 carries for 60 yards and was largely relegated to special teams duty.

With Justice Hill and J.K. Dobbins now out for the year, Gus Edwards is going to get the bulk of carries at running back. But they may be bringing in reinforcements shortly.
Albert Breer reported on Monday that former Pro Bowl running backs Le’Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman, along with Elijah Holyfield, are all visiting the team today.

Fortunately, the team still has Lamar Jackson and he is continuing to show tremendous growth heading into his fourth year.
