Ravens Star Had 1 Word To Describe Team’s Practice Yesterday

September 11, 2021 by The Spun

Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley.

The Baltimore Ravens had a practice to forget on Thursday as two of their key starters were injured on back-to-back plays. But it’s still gnawing at some of the players.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Ravens Pro Bowl tackle Ronnie Stanley had one word to describe yesterday’s practice. He said that the end of the practice was “depressing” after the injuries took place.

Ravens starting running back Gus Edwards suffered a freak knee injury on a play that abruptly ended his season. On the very next play, starting cornerback Marcus Peters suffered a knee injury of his own.

But Stanley said that the Ravens have “a newfound energy” heading into Friday’s training. He declared that the team will dedicate their play to their injured teammates.

Ravens OT Ronnie Stanley said the end of yesterday’s practice was “depressing” after the injuries occurred.

He said team has a newfound energy and will play for those injured players.

The Baltimore Ravens will now enter the 2021 season without four of last year’s leading running backs.

Mark Ingram left Baltimore in free agency and then No. 2 running back JK Dobbins was injured in the preseason. Just a few days ago, No. 3 rusher Justice Hill suffered a season-ending injury. And now Edwards is gone for the season.

The Ravens still have star quarterback Lamar Jackson to lead the team out of the backfield with his dual-threat abilities. But they’ve had to sign a ton of backs to replace the players they’ve lost – on very short notice.

Who will be Baltimore’s leading rusher this coming season?
