Robert Griffin III Has A Message For The Ravens

September 10, 2021 by The Spun

Robert Griffin III on the Baltimore Ravens sideline.

Robert Griffin III sent a message to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday afternoon following the team’s devastating injury news.

The Ravens have already been hit hard with the injury bug this preseason. It got even worse on Thursday. Running back Gus Edwards and defensive back Marcus Peters went down with serious injuries during practice. Both could end up missing the entire 2021 season.

Last year it was the 49ers who got hit with an injury curse. This year, it looks to be the Ravens. But Griffin isn’t counting out the Ravens just yet.

The former Baltimore quarterback sent a message to the team on Thursday following the unfortunate injury news.

“Prayers up for healthy recoveries for Gus the Bus and MP It’s all hands on deck in B-More. They will find a way to get the job done,” Griffin said on Twitter.

Take a look.

It’s too bad Robert Griffin III doesn’t play running back. They could use one at the moment.

Entering the preseason, the Ravens had one of the best running back situations in the NFL. J.K. Dobbins was primed for a breakout year and Gus Edwards is more than capable of putting up big numbers. Both will likely miss the entire 2021 season.

So where does that leave the depth chart? The Ravens will turn to Ty’Son Williams, Trenton Cannon and Le’Veon Bell. It’s plausible they add another veteran running back as well.

Despite the awful injury luck, Griffin still has faith in the Ravens. They begin the season next Monday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
