The New Orleans Saints might be without one of their defensive starters against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
The Saints listed defensive back Marshon Lattimore as “questionable” for their season opener on Sunday. Lattimore was limited during Friday’s practice with some sort of knee injury. Now his status for Sunday’s game is in question.
New Orleans’ top priority against the Packers is stopping their elite passing attack. That’ll prove difficult if Lattimore is unable to give it a go on Sunday.
This will be something to monitor over the next 24 hours.
“INJURY REPORT UPDATE: Marshon Lattimore’s status for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers is QUESTIONABLE (knee),” the Saints announced via Twitter.

Given it’s just Week 1, the Saints could prove to play it safe here. There’s no point in risking losing Marshon Lattimore if he’s not 100 percent.
If Lattimore is unable to give it a go, the Saints will likely turn to the youngster Paulson Adebo. New Orleans took the former Stanford standout defensive back with the No. 76 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Adebo had 97 tackles and eight interceptions during his collegiate career.
The Saints feel confident that Adebo will eventually turn into a full-time starter in their defense. But asking him to try and defend the Packers’ passing game will be a tough task.
We’ll learn more about Lattimore’s availability on Sunday morning.
