The Seattle Seahawks are the latest NFL team to announce they will be back at full capacity for the upcoming 2021 season.
Lumen Field will be fully open this fall, the Seahawks announced on Tuesday. Fans will not be required to be vaccinated to attend games, though those who aren’t vaccinated will still be required to wear masks.
This means that one of the rowdiest and most impactful home crowds in the NFL will be back in full effect come September.
“Can’t wait to see those 12s,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said of the team’s famous. “Can’t wait to see the 12s. I know they’re coming, I know somebody is going to be in those stands. Can’t wait to get you out there.”

In 2020, the Seahawks didn’t let the lack of crowd support affect their play on the field. Seattle finished 12-4 and won the NFC West, going 7-1 at home during the regular season, though they did lose at home to the Rams in the NFC Wild Card Game.
The Seahawks will host the Broncos and Chargers in the preseason, with the team’s first home regular season game set for Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.
