Week 1 of the NFL season will begin in less than four hours. Now is the time to get those Super Bowl predictions in, which Shannon Sharpe did earlier today.
Like Skip Bayless, his partner on “Undisputed,” Sharpe thinks the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting back to the big game. Unlike Skip though, Sharpe thinks they will lose when they get there.
The three-time Super Bowl champion and Pro Football Hall of Famer is going with the Kansas City Chiefs to beat Tampa Bay in a rematch of Super Bowl LV.
“Mahomeboy [Patrick Mahomes] isn’t going to lose two Super Bowls in a row,” Sharpe said.
.@ShannonSharpe gives his Super Bowl prediction:
“I’ve got a rematch. From an offensive line standpoint, the Chiefs are much better and their defense will be good. Mahomeboy isn’t going to lose 2 Super Bowls in a row.” pic.twitter.com/cz8TfcmL7a

The odds of Sharpe’s prediction coming true are not good. The Cowboys and Bills are the only teams to meet in back-to-back Super Bowls, and they did that nearly 30 years ago.
Then again, for full transparency, I have the same Super Bowl prediction as Sharpe, so maybe we’re both being foolish. It’s tough to pick against Tom Brady on one side and the best current quarterback in Mahomes on the other.
