The goal scorer
Arizona State soccer will return nearly its entire roster from its 2021 spring NCAA Tournament team. The most important piece will be the Sun Devils’ ultimate goal scorer Nicole Douglas.
The English product has led the team in goals score since she arrived in Tempe. Heading into her senior year, Douglas has scored 30 goals thus far and ranks fourth in program history.
Douglas sent in four game-winning goals last season as she continuously found the back of the net in clutch situations. She also scored in each of the Sun Devils’ postseason games including this crazy shot against Duke to send it to overtime.

You can probably expect another similar season from Douglas with her most likely leading Arizona State in points once again. If she can take it up another level, well, the Sun Devils will probably be going back to the NCAA Tournament. The biggest key to unlock Douglas’ next step is for the Sun Devils to find a consistent second option as a scorer. The attack would become deadly at that point.
