It’s the start of the NFL’s 2021 regular season, which means every week, we’ll see fans tweeting their opinions about FOX play-by-play man Joe Buck.
Buck is one of the best in the world at what he does – arguably the best – but like any big-time announcer, he often sparks reactions from die-hard fans.
This was the case on Saturday night.
Buck, who’s getting ready for the NFL season, was on the call for Saturday night’s game between the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. The two New York teams played on the 20th anniversary of September 11. It was an emotional night in New York.
Fans praised Buck for his performance during the game, especially his perspective on what happened 20 years ago.
I actually agree with Joe Buck for a change. 9/11 is different for New Yorkers.

I cannot believe I am agreeing with Joe Buck, but Shea Stadium was one of a kind and I know it was a hole but it was mine and I loved it. #Shea #Mets

It was an emotional night in New York and Buck handled the broadcast with class.
The Yankees beat the Mets, 8-7, on Saturday night, improving to 79-63 on the season. The Mets, meanwhile, dropped to 71-72 with the loss.
Now, it’s on to the National Football League for Buck.
