Steelers Star Not Happy With His Madden Rating

July 30, 2021 by The Spun

Minkah Fitzpatrick on the field for the Steelers.

On Thursday afternoon, Madden continued its ratings release, this time highlighting the best safeties in the game.

Over the past few days, the popular video game released scores for a few positions. Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams and Los Angeles Rams corner Jalen Ramsey both received the coveted 99 score.

While they were likely happy with their scores, there was some controversy with the latest release. When the safety rankings were released, fans immediately noticed that one player was way too low.

Pittsburgh Steelers star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick came in at No. 7 on the list with a score of 89. NFL players around the league couldn’t believe it as they flocked to social media to show their confusion.

Fitzpatrick himself wasn’t quite sure what to make of the ranking.

“I don’t even know what to say anymore…” Fitzpatrick said on Twitter.

The Steelers traded for Fitzpatrick during the 2019 season and he immediately made the All-Pro team. He followed that up with another All-Pro performance during the 2020 season as well.

He’s one of the most versatile defensive backs in the football and has anchored a stout Steelers defense for the past two seasons.

But sure, put him at No. 7, Madden.
