It has finally happened. On Saturday afternoon, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh picked up his first win over Ohio State.
Michigan set the tone from the opening quarter, running the football at a consistent and efficient rate. Harbaugh’s squad finished the game with 297 rushing yards.
Following the Wolverines’ win over the Buckeyes, ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith went on Twitter to share his thoughts on the big game.
Even though Smith has been critical of Harbaugh in the past, he gave the Michigan coach the credit he deserves this Saturday.
“Wow! Jim Harbaugh finally did it,” Smith tweeted. “He’s about to lift Michigan over Ohio State. Finally! Didn’t see this coming. Congrats. Now he finally deserves his props!”

Smith will most likely have more to say about Michigan’s win on Monday’s episode of First Take. Hopefully, he’s joined by one of the biggest Harbaugh critics in the world, Paul Finebaum.
For the past few years, Harbaugh has been mocked because he couldn’t lead Michigan to a win over Ohio State. Well, we can now officially throw those jokes in the trash.
Michigan will now turn its attention over to the Big Ten Championship. If the Wolverines win next weekend, they’ll punch their ticket to the College Football Playoff.
