The NFL’s 2021 regular season is set to begin on Thursday night.
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to host the Dallas Cowboys in the first matchup of the regular season. It’s the reigning Super Bowl champions against America’s Team. It should be a pretty fun one.
Ahead of the 2021 regular season, Brady shared an honest admission: he believes this year will be even more challenging than last year in regards to the pandemic.
Brady, who admitted he battled COVID-19 earlier this year, believes this year will pose more challenges.
“I think it’s going to be challenging this year. I actually think it’s going to play more of a factor this year than last year, just because of the way what we’re doing now and what the stadium is going to look like and what the travel is going to look like and the people in the building and the fans,” Brady told the Tampa Bay Times.
“It’s not like last year, although we’re getting tested like last year. It’s going to be, I definitely think guys are going to be out at different points and we’ve just got to deal with it.”
There will surely be a number of challenges, but hopefully the season is a smooth one.
Tampa Bay and Dallas are scheduled to kick off at 8:20 p.m. E.T. on Thursday night.
