Tyson Fury confirmed his retirement from boxing following Saturday’s victory over Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium.
In an interview with TalkTV’s Piers Morgan (h/t BBC Sport), the 33-year-old reiterated that he’s “done” with boxing.
“When is enough, enough? I am happy, I am healthy. I still have my brains, I can talk, I have a beautiful wife, I have six kids, umpteen belts. I have plenty of money, success, fame, glory, what more am I doing it for?”
“I’m done!”
Tyson Fury says he’s “quitting while he’s ahead” adding: “It’s not about money… I’m a very simple man.”@Tyson_Fury | @piersmorgan | @TalkTV | @talkSPORT | #piersuncensored pic.twitter.com/GxJLF3N5FH

After his latest win, the undefeated heavyweight said during the in-ring interview that “this might be the final curtain.” Fury doubled down on that decision, telling Morgan that he needs to think about his future and family.
“Boxing is a dangerous sport,” Fury said. “You can be taken out with one punch as we saw on Saturday night and it only takes one unlucky blow and you might not get up off that canvas.
“I am quitting while I am ahead. I am undefeated and only the second man in history to retire undefeated heavyweight champion. I am very happy and contented in my heart with what I’ve done.”
Fury could compete in other capacities, as UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou anticipates a crossover fight happening next year. The British star also expressed interest in returning to WWE, calling out Drew McIntyre as a potential opponent for SummerSlam or a later event in Cardiff, Wales, this September.
If true to his word, Fury will retire 32-0-1 with 23 victories by TKO. The WBC heavyweight champion said he “wanted to go out with a knockout performance” and on top of his game, even if that means missing out on a potential unification fight down the road.
