The USC football program has a lot to look forward to this coming season. And on Saturday, that preseason hype was made evident by the fan turnout for the Trojans’ spring game.
On a beautiful day in Southern California, more than 33,000 fans came to get a peek at the new-look squad. USC announced the official attendance number at 33,427 — the largest spring game crowd on record.

This is no doubt the Trojans’ biggest spring game turnout in recent years. Still, rival fans were quick to criticize the team’s reputation of lacking fan support.
“Looks like the crowd is in midseason form already!” one fan joked.
“It’ll get negative attention from people who want to compare it to crowd sizes across the country, but that’s a really impressive number for USC. Trojans have to be happy with the turnout,” another added.

One of the biggest reasons for this preseason hype in LA is the arrival of former Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley and five-star quarterback Caleb Williams.
Fans compared today’s crowd in Southern California to the spring game crowd in Norman earlier this afternoon. The Sooners more than doubled the Trojans’ attendance with 75,000+.
