Football fans have already learned Arch Manning’s name through his impressive pedigree and the frequent additions to his highlight reel. A recent video showed that the high school quarterback may have a less well-known skillset that he might be able to bring to the college game.
In a recent clip, Manning lined up a few yards further back then he normally would if he was in the shotgun. That’s because he was preparing to receive a ball to punt away.
Manning took the snap, walked a few steps and the delivered a massive boot to flip the field for his Isidore Newman High School team. Later in the game he did it again, impressing both those in the stands and those watching on social media.

The fact that the No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2023 has this kind of ability with his leg is extremely impressive. He’s already shown all sorts of talent as a quarterback, but maybe he can also supply his future college program with an emergency punter.
Headed into the 2021 high school season, football fans are focused on where Manning might be headed to play his college ball. The high school junior took a series of visits over the summer, but his family has stayed tight-lipped on where he favors.
Reports confirmed that Manning visited Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Clemson and Texas, among other programs. He also went to see Ole Miss, where his uncle Eli, and his grandfather Archie Manning played.
The Manning family is expected to take their time working through the decision, which isn’t surprising given their history with the college recruiting process. In the meantime, Arch will focus on his junior high school season in Louisiana.
