Ohio State finally lost “The Game” to rival Michigan for the first time since 2011.
The Wolverines put up 42 on the Buckeyes defense and had an identity of running the ball throughout the contest.
They accomplished that to a tee as running back Hassan Haskins couldn’t be stopped. He finished with 169 yards and five touchdowns on 28 carries.
After the game, Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day spoke to the media and confirmed that he feels awful for his players.
Ryan Day at the podium: “I feel awful… It’s a failure.”

Day also touched on the run defense and what he’s going to do moving forward about it.
Ryan Day said the Buckeyes will have to “take a real hard look” at why they couldn’t stop the run today.

The Michigan offensive line was just as big of a difference-maker as Haskins. That unit was opening up all the holes and winning the war in the trenches all game long.
OSU finishes the regular season at 10-2 and will not be able to defend its Big Ten Championship title.
Michigan will await the outcome of the Wisconsin-Minnesota game this afternoon. If the Badgers win, they’ll meet the Wolverines in Indianapolis. If they lose, the Hawkeyes will go to Indy.
As for OSU, it awaits its destination for a bowl game. We’ll have to see if Day can make the necessary adjustments for that game, no matter who it’s against.
