The Arizona Wildcats continue to establish their pipeline into Orange County with another solid player from Servite High School in Anaheim, Calif.

Jacob Manu, a 5-foot-11 and 210-pound linebacker, has announced his commitment to Arizona on Sunday.

WORDS CANT EXPLAIN HOW THANKFUL AND BLESSED I AM TO ANNOUNCE THAT I WILL BE ATTENDING THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA FOR THE NEXT 4 YEARS #GODISGREAT #BTFD ⬇️ @CoachJeddFisch @FBCoachDBrown @ArizonaFBall pic.twitter.com/IqPoPAeUIl

Manu is considered one of the best linebackers in the state and it’s hard not to see why. He isn’t the biggest backer, but he’s productive. In Servite’s six games this season, Manu has racked up 37 tackles, 4 TFL, and a sack. Not to mention, at least once a game, he is good for a clutch defensive stop.

His offer from the UA came a couple of days after head coach Jedd Fisch watched Servite play Orange Lutheran in person.

He chose Arizona over Army, Charlotte, Dartmouth and Penn. This is another case of his size limiting his recruiting attention.

Manu doesn’t have a 247Sports Composite ranking yet. However, 247Sports internally ranks him as the 149th linebacker and 132nd player in California.

He is a steal in my opinion. He has the versatility to play linebacker or VIPER in Don Brown’s defense. He would thrive at either position.

See below for his midseason highlights.

Manu is Arizona’s third commit from Servite, joining 4-star tight end Keyan Burnett and 3-star quarterback Noah Fifita. His pledge comes on the same day that 3-star Northern California defensive back Zeke Berry reopened his recruitment.
