Trailing the medal stand by five strokes, and playing several groups behind the leaders, all Bianca Pagdangadan could do in the final round of the Olympic women’s golf competition was play her game and hope for the best.
The ex-Wildcat did that, and it almost landed her country its first medal in the sport.
Pagdangadan fired a final round score of 4-under 68, birdieing the final two holes, to finish at 6-under for the tournament. That ended up being good enough for a tie for fourth place overall, one shot behind China’s Xiyu Lin for the bronze medal.
So proud of @biancapagda ‼️
A final round 68 (-4) put her in a tie for 4️⃣th in Paris, one shot off of third place.
