In 2007, the Dallas Cowboys used a sixth-round pick to select a kicker from Arizona. Nick Folk is still nailing field goals in the NFL, and another former Wildcat kicker will be joining him in the pros.
Tyler Loop was picked by the Baltimore Ravens in the 6th round (186th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday, joining a franchise that has one of the best kickers in the league but one that’s dealing with off-the-field issues.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Loop is the fourth kicker from the UA to get drafted, first since Folk. He made 67 of 80 field goals during his career from 2020-24, going 18 for 23 last season including a school-record 62-yarder against Houston in November.

Loop, who also made 126 of 128 extra points, had touchbacks on 53 of 56 kickoffs in 2024 to rank first in FBS.
Baltimore kicker Justin Tucker, the most accurate kicker in league history and the active leader in field goals with 417, is under investigation by the NFL over accusations of inappropriate behavior by 16 massage therapists and spa workers. Tucker, 35, has been with the Ravens the entirety of his 13-year career, though he was undrafted out of Texas.
Loop is the first kicker Baltimore has drafted in franchise history. He is the third Wildcat taken in the 2025 Draft, matching last year’s tally, the first time since 2011-12 that Arizona has seen three or more players taken in consecutive drafts.
